The Isabela State University established an understanding with the Department of Anthropology, University of Zurich of Switzerland to further the academic objectives of each institution.

As stipulated in the forged Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), both parties will have a chance to engage in research and education activities. Further, the signed MOU will benefit the faculty members and the students of both institutions through the faculty and student exchange program.

Aside from that, both institutions will offer summer/winter short courses for students coming from the University of Zurich, Lyceum of the Philippines University, and ISU in Palanan, Isabela on Indigenous People’s Health, Education, Legal Rights, Livelihood, and Conservation.

Other activities to be undertaken by both parties include rehabilitating the ISU Palanan Extension campus for receiving long-term research and extension activities beneficial to the indigenous community.
