Isabela State University joins the partner agencies and institutions in Cagayan Valley as Department of Science and Technology-Region 02 (DOST-R02) launches an initiative for Regional Inclusive Innovation Center (RIIC), SHINE Cagayan Valley.

The SHINE Cagayan Valley, or Sustaining Harvest through Innovation and Nurturing Enterprise, is the official brand of the RIIC Initiative.

It aims to expand the engagement of Research and Development (R&D) in reinforcing domestic enterprises, especially the micro-small-medium enterprises (MSMEs) thru adoption and access of innovative resources from the academe and lined technology generators.

Gracing the occasion, DOST Secretary Prof. Fortunato T. Dela Peña sees the undertaking as collaborative effort in enhancing innovation performance in the region, advising to strengthen linkages among stakeholders.

ISU has been able to front innovative technologies thru its R&D Centers, making it the science, technology, and innovation (STI) hub of Cagayan Valley.

These developed technologies are constantly being transferred to industries and technology adopters in translating research outputs to workable community solutions.
