Isabela State University (ISU) has received three awards at the Internationalization Champions of Nation-building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2025, an annual ceremony of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) that recognizes Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for their significant contributions to the internationalization of Philippine higher education.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 – 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝟒𝟎𝟏-𝟔𝟎𝟎
ISU was honored for being ranked 401–600 in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings which continually shows the University’s commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 – 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐩
The ISU Cabagan Campus was recognized for its Learning Express Program, an initiative that promotes intercultural understanding, empowers young changemakers, and cultivates responsible global citizenship.

ISU was further commended for its program, “Strengthening Academic and Research Collaboration: The Engagement of ISU and Japanese Universities and Agencies,” highlighting the University’s dedication to inclusive internationalization and collaborative innovation.
These awards are manifestations of ISU’s pursuit toward excellence in its international engagements and its contributions in elevating the global presence of Philippine higher education.
