Isabela State University celebrates with the entire Cagayan Valley Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (CVAARRD) community for yet another milestone as it receives 2022 Ugnay Award for being the Most Outstanding Regional R&D Consortium.
The award was given earlier this day, November 10, at PCAARRD, Los Baños, Laguna during the 2022 S&T Awards and Recognition of the 50th PCAARRD Founding Anniversary Celebration.
The Ugnay Award is a recognition given to a regional consortium for being a credible and staunch partner of the DOST-PCAARRD in advancing research and development as well as science and technology innovations.
CVAARRD has been long bestowed with the distinction as the first Ugnay Hall of Fame Awardee in the country, given its successive monumental achievements in R&D.
CVAARRD is a regional consortium for research focusing on the niche areas of the agri-fisheries sector with Isabela State University as the host agency.
PCAARRD also bestowed the Dr. Elvira O. Tan Award to a research paper published by ISU and UP-LB being an Outstanding Published Paper in Natural Resources and Environment Category.
The research entitled, “Assessing the impacts of climate change on irigation diversion water requirement in the Philippines”, is co-authored by Dr. Lanie A. Alejo, a faculty of the ISU College of Engineering together with peer researchers from the UPLB. (GZ/JF-UMIS-CMS)
