Isabela State University (ISU) participates in “ASEAN Connect: Celebrating Unity in Diversity Through Education, Culture, and Innovation”, a Commission on Higher Education (CHED) regionally-led event in support of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint and of the Philippine ASEAN Chairship.

As part of the Commission’s roadmap toward inclusive and impact-driven internationalization, the activity aims to enhance awareness and appreciation of the ASEAN identity among students, faculty members, and other stakeholders of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the region, and promote intercultural understanding, academic collaboration, sustainability, and innovation.
Moreover, the initiative also seeks to provide a platform for meaningful engagement among HEIs through cultural presentations, research collaboration, and active student participation, in support of ASEAN values of solidarity, inclusivity, and regional cooperation.

As a highlight of its participation, ISU has entered into a partnership with CHED Region 02 and other SUCs and private universities in the region through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the implementation of the Building Resilience and Innovation in Developing Global Engagements (BRIDGE) Initiative and the “Adopt an Institution” Framework for Internationalization.
