Isabela State University (ISU) has secured a 5 million peso grant from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in support of its initiatives under the Technology Business Incubation (TBI) Program in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology through the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD).

The grant was formally received by Dr. Jonathan N. Nayga (Project Leader) during the Ceremonial Awarding of the Grants for the Technology Business Incubation held on June 10, 2026, as part of the 32nd CHED Anniversary Strategic Partnership Convergence at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

The funding recognizes the University’s continued commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, research commercialization, and sustainable development through its Technology Business Incubation initiatives. As a designated Program Coordination Unit (PCU) of the TBI Program, ISU plays a key role to coordinate and support the effective implementation of innovation-driven programs among participating higher education institutions.

Earlier today, Dr. Nayga, together with Dr. Aubrey Joy M. Balbin, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Boyet L. Batang (University President) to formally present the grant and discuss its significance to advance the University’s innovation ecosystem and strengthen its contributions to national development.
