As part of its 48th Founding Anniversary celebration, Isabela State University (ISU) launched a series of coffee table books under the banner “ISU Legacy of Innovation,” to showcase the University’s journey and accomplishments across its various pillars of development.
Guided by this year’s theme, “ISU at 48 | DALOY: Driving Academic Legacy through Outward-looking Yields for a Smart-Green ISU,” the publication series presents ISU’s pursuit of responsive and sustainable development anchored on academic excellence, strategic partnerships, environmental stewardship, innovation, and inclusive growth.
The collection highlights the University’s remarkable strides – from pioneering research centers that generate solutions for communities, to internationalization initiatives that strengthen ISU’s presence in the global academic landscape; from modern and sustainable infrastructures that promote conducive learning environments, to vibrant student development programs that nurture leadership, character, and service; and from dynamic resource generation and management efforts that reinforce institutional resilience and long-term progress.
In his message within the books, Dr. Isagani P. Angeles, Jr. (Vice President for Planning and Development and Director General of the 48th Founding Anniversary) emphasized that the story of ISU at 48 is a story of people whose passion, dedication, and commitment continue to propel the University toward greater heights to transform challenges into opportunities and aspirations into meaningful outcomes that benefit both the academic community and the society.
Conceptualized under the leadership of Ms. Marissa H. Valdez (University Focal Person for Gender and Development), the initiative resulted in the production of twelve (12) coffee table books that collectively capture the University’s legacy of innovation, excellence, and service. These publications stand as a testament to ISU’s achievements, milestones, and commitment to shape a smarter, greener, and more globally engaged future.
