BS Computer Science students of Isabela State University (ISU) secured 3rd Place in the Cloud Track Event of the 10th Huawei ICT Competition National Finals. The said award was given on December 5, 2025 at the Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Competing against over 2,900 students from universities nationwide in the online finals on November 17, ISU cemented its position as a technological leader. This achievement is historic, as ISU is the first university in the Cagayan Valley Region designated as a Huawei ICT Academy to claim a top-three spot in the national event.
The members of the winning team include Christian Paul Simbulan (3rd Year), Michael Almario (3rd Year), and Kharl Denzell Bugarin (2nd Year). The students were coached by Mr. Benedict Yamat and were supervised by Program Chair Dr. Albert A. Vinluan.
The success of the students in the said event shows the University’s commitment to mastering essential cloud computing technologies.
