Strengthening its commitment to community partnership and local development, Isabela State University (ISU) formalized four (4) Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with the Local Government Unit of Echague (LGU Echague) on September 12, 2025.
The agreements cover key areas of cooperation, namely: Sports Development, Tourism and Hospitality Management, collaboration with the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) Cultural and Athletic Group, and the official engagement of the Department of Communication and Media Studies (DCMS) Documentation Team for the upcoming Mengal Festival 2025.
Through these agreements, ISU continues its role as a partner institution of LGUs in harnessing academic expertise, talents, and resources to serve local communities.
For the University, the partnership is part of its mission to apply its knowledge and services in advancing cultural heritage, sports excellence, tourism promotion, and event documentation in support of Echague’s developmental initiatives. For LGU Echague, the signing is an effort in its transition under the new municipal leadership, which seeks to strengthen ties with local institutions and drive inclusive community progress.
The four MOAs are seen as a start to a sustained partnership anchored on the goal of promoting people development, cultural enrichment, and socio-economic growth for the Municipality of Echague.
