Isabela State University (ISU) officially launched and inaugurated its ISU Cauayan Campus – Aurora Extension on July 25, 2024. The building of the said extension campus located in Diamantina, Aurora, Isabela was established by virtue of ISU Board of Regents Resolution No. 211, s. 2020, and Local Government Unit (LGU) of Aurora Resolution No. 01-2020.

 

The new extension campus of the University will be dedicated to advancing education and research in science and technology, agricultural education, food technology, and other academic programs that aims to foster innovation and excellence for a sustainable future.

 

The construction of the facility was made possible through the support of both leadership from ISU and LGU Aurora in the persons of Hon. William T. Uy (former Mayor), Hon. Joseph Christian G. Uy (current Mayor), Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino (University President), and Dr. Precila C. Delima (Cluster Executive Officer, Cauayan Cluster).

 

During the said launching and inauguration, the ISU community led by its executives were joined by LGU Aurora, Atty. Mark Cicero F. Domingo (OIC, CHED Region 02), Dr. Rose Mary G. Aquino (RED, DA Regional Field Office 02), and Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera (Regional Director, DOST Regional Office 2) who all gave their warm support and messages for the completion of one of the University’s endeavors.

 

The establishment of the extension campus hopes to serve as a lasting symbol of collaboration, progress, and the pursuit of academic excellence for generations of ISU community members to come.
