In line with its mission to turn scientific knowledge into tangible products and technologies, the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program of the Cagayan Valley Region conducted its Regional Technology and Product Exhibit in collaboration with the Isabela State University (ISU) in the celebration of its 46th Founding Anniversary.

The said exhibit aimed to invite the RAISE-Cagayan Valley collaborators, research and development centers, technology adaptors, and other stakeholders to come together and showcase the outputs made through the RAISE Program. 

Dr. Virginia G. Bilgera (Regional Director, DOST-R02) graced the ribbon cutting of the exhibit along with the officials of ISU headed by Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino (University President) and the focal person of RAISE-CV, Dr. Jonathan N. Nayga (Professor, ISU).

 

The booths of the exhibit were visited by the aforementioned officials along with other visitors aiming to learn more about the laid out products and technologies.

 

Included in the list of exhibitors are the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Cagayan Valley Agricultural and Aquatic Resources Research and Development (CVAARRD), Cagayan State University (CSU), Batanes State College (BSC), Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), and ISU.

 

The RAISE Program of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) is comprised of four (4) components such as the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IP-TBM), Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubation, the Agri-Aqua Business Hub, and the Knowledge Management Hub which aims to provide an optimum environment for inventors, innovators, and investors to build a competitive Agri-Aqua innovation ecosystem.
