Pursuant to the Republic Act No. 9710 otherwise known as the Magna Carta of Women (MCW) provides that “All individuals are equal as human beings by virtue of the inherent dignity of each human person. No one should therefore suffer discrimination on the basis of ethnicity, gender, age, language, sexual orientation, race, color, religion, political or other opinion, national, social or geographical origin, disability, property, birth, or other status as established by human rights standards” (Section 3), this office seeks to promote gender equality, gender equity, gender sensitivity, non-discrimination and human rights in the provision of basic education and professionalism.

In connection thereto, this Office reminds everyone to respect the gender expression and gender identity not only the faculty and staff but specially the students.

In line with the foregoing, Heads, School Administration, and all University personnel are hereby advised to observe non-discriminatory action and the usage of gender fair language to lessen the discrimination in the campus. Violation of this order shall be dealt with accordingly.
