Today, Isabela State University (ISU) hosted the delegation from Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) for a benchmarking activity aimed to strengthen institutional systems and share best practices across key operational domains.
The JRMSU delegation led by Dr. Rizza B. Bagalanon (Vice President for Research, Development and Extension) was welcomed by the University through Dr. Boyet L. Batang (University President). Joining him were Dr. Orlando F. Balderama (Vice President for Research and Development, Extension and Training) and Dr. Isagani P. Angeles, Jr. (Vice President for Planning and Development), together with other University and Campus officials who facilitated the breakout sessions.
The benchmarking engagement centered on three major areas vital to institutional excellence such as Research, Development, and Extension (RDE), Administration and Human Resource Management, and Planning.
Participants engaged in parallel breakout sessions where they exchanged insights, strategies, and experiences relevant to strengthening university operations. Following these sessions, the delegation was also scheduled to conduct a field visit to selected ISU Research Centers to observe significant innovations, ongoing projects, and best practices in action.
In his message of welcome, Dr. Batang emphasized the value of shared learning in driving institutional growth.
“Each insight gained today is a tool for better service, stronger systems, and a future in which excellence is the habit, not exemption. Let today be the start that ignites a season of thoughtful risk-taking, thoughtful learning, and thoughtful leadership,” he said.
The said visit presents both universities’ commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation in the pursuit of academic and public service excellence.
