Today, Isabela State University (ISU) welcomed the delegation from Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) for a benchmarking activity focused on the Internal Professorial Accreditation Policy. The visit hoped to establish collaboration between the universities to strengthen academic systems and faculty development initiatives.

Prior to the formal benchmarking program, the ISAT U delegation paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Boyet L. Batang (University President), where both institutions exchanged insights on academic leadership, institutional priorities, and opportunities for partnership.

The benchmarking activity aimed to provide ISAT U with comprehensive insights into ISU’s best practices, policy frameworks, procedures, and implementation strategies in the accreditation of professorial ranks. The initiative is expected to serve as a reference for the continuous improvement and enhancement of ISAT U’s internal policies and systems on faculty accreditation and development.

The ISAT-U delegation was headed by Dr. Jasper L. Pastrano (Faculty Regent), together with selected university officials and representatives from the Administrative Services, Human Resource Management Office, External Affairs, and the Employee Association.

During the discussions led by Dr. Precila C. Delima (Vice President for Academic Affairs), the University presented institutional processes, accreditation mechanisms, and governance practices related to professorial advancement. The activity also provided an opportunity for dialogue on challenges, innovations, and future directions in faculty career progression within state universities and colleges.
