
Mr. Jean Acido, a Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLEd) student of Isabela State University (ISU) – Echague Campus represents the Philippines in the Plumbing and Heating Skills Competition at the ongoing WorldSkills ASEAN 2025 held at the World Trade Center from August 25-30, 2025.
WorldSkills ASEAN is regarded as the premier platform for demonstrating technical-vocational excellence across Southeast Asia. It brings together young professionals to compete under international standards of performance, innovation, and professionalism, offering a venue to highlight the value of skilled professions.
Mr. Acido is competing under SICAT-TESDA Santiago City, with the guidance of his coach, Mr. Jim Lord Lapastura. His qualification to the international competition shows his commitment to excellence and the University’s strong partnership with TESDA in equipping students with globally competitive technical skills.
As the competition progresses, the ISU community continues to support Mr. Acido and the University’s mission to further strengthen its role in producing world-class graduates.
