Isabela State University (ISU) shows solidarity and support to the 2025 National Women’s Month through the simultaneous celebration of the different campuses on March 10, 2025.

The said celebration, anchored on the theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas”, was held during the flag raising ceremonies of each campus attended by its faculty, staff, and students.

Highlighting the University’s commitment to advocating for gender-responsive policies and initiatives, the attendees of the simultaneous celebration recited the pledge of commitment, where they affirmed their dedication to supporting efforts against gender-related violence and promoting equal opportunities for all.

In their messages, the University and campus officials emphasized the significance of celebrating Women’s Month, noting that empowering women across various sectors leads to a more resilient and dynamic nation. The event also served as a platform to recognize the contributions of women in education, leadership, research, and community development.

Invited as a guest of honor for the celebration, Hon. Maria Katrina Jessica G. Dy (National President, Liga ng mga Barangay and Founder, Mengal Women Organization) shared some ongoing initiatives for women during the pandemic up to the present.

She also added that women should be celebrated not only in March but everyday in consideration of their value and importance in societies.

“Kailangan niyo lang buksan ang inyong mga mata. Kailangan niyo lang buksan ang inyong mga tenga, at ang inyong mga puso at makiramdam at makatulong sa kanila,” Hon. Dy challenged the ISU community to advocate for women, emphasizing that each one is responsible for one another.

As the month-long observance progresses, the University looks ahead to more activities and engagements that will further empower women and encourage collective action towards building a more inclusive and equitable society.
