The Isabela State University Echague Campus (ISU-E) Psychological Society saw the successful completion of its SILAY: A Mental Health Caravan held at De Venecia Hall, Isabela State University, Echague, Isabela.

This continuing initiative brought together the Psychological Society, the Peer Facilitators Union, and the College of Arts and Sciences, along with students from various colleges across the campus, creating a vibrant space for dialogue and learning centered on mental health. Through this caravan, these groups of both students and professionals reflect the high spirit in promoting a psychology-friendly learning environment where mental health is prioritized and all aspects of student life can feel appreciated and understood.

The caravan’s second day was more than just talks or activities. It became a place for advocacy, education, and community support. Through interactive sessions, sharing circles, and discussions, participants were encouraged to express their thoughts, learn practical coping skills, and find mental health resources within and outside the university. The program also emphasized the importance of empathy, active listening, and inclusivity as key parts of creating a supportive academic and social environment.

This effort shows the shared goal of ISU and its student organizations to make mental health discussions normal and to break down the stigma that often stops people from getting help. It also underscores the belief that mental wellness is not only a personal responsibility but a shared goal requiring cooperation, awareness, and accessible support systems. By holding initiatives like the SILAY Mental Health Caravan, the university strengthens its role as a nurturing community that equips students with emotional resilience and the confidence to thrive academically and personally.

Ultimately, the event reaffirmed the idea that everyone deserves to be heard, seen, and supported—laying the groundwork for a more compassionate and mentally healthy campus culture.
