Isabela State University (ISU) is now officially registered as a Book Publisher and Printer with the National Book Development Board (NBDB). ISU can cover both print and digital formats, enabling the institution to streamline its publishing processes and directly acquire International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN) from the National Library of the Philippines.
The registration is in effect starting April 2025 and was made possible through the efforts of the Office of University Knowledge and Technology Management (UKTM).
This accreditation empowers the University to formally publish and print information systems, research outputs, and instructional materials developed by its faculty and researchers across the University system. The move is expected to increase the visibility and accessibility of ISU-produced knowledge products, further strengthening the University’s role in contributing to national development through academic research and innovation.
The NBDB registration is renewable annually and is viewed as a step in enhancing ISU’s knowledge and technology management framework. It aligns with the University’s mission to foster a vibrant culture of research and scholarship, ensuring that homegrown innovations and educational materials reach broader audiences.
