Isabela State University is among the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) to receive fund of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) for School Year 2019-2020.
Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) has released the list of qualified SUCs and LUCs on Sunday (March 29).
ISU is the only SUC in Region 02 to be granted with the education subsidy after complying the necessary requirements of scholarship liquidation for the school year 2018-2019.
TES grantees are set to receive 20 thousand pesos stipend per semester. Meanwhile, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) scholars would receive additional 15 thousand pesos per semester, aside from the initial 20 thousand pesos allowance.
The University Office of Students’ Affairs and Services (OSAS) has released guidelines on the distribution of educational subsidies.
Stipends would be deposited in the ATM accounts of TES scholars, following the imposition of Luzon- wide enhanced community quarantine. OSAS would be facilitating the signing of payrolls once the community quarantine would be lifted.
For grantees whose ATM accounts were blocked or inactivated, they are required to submit new ATM accounts at OSAS to claim their stipends- also after the quarantine period.
TES is an additional stipend given to students in SUCs/LUCs who are in the Listahan 2.0 of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Scholars are encouraged to maintain health measures amid COVID-19 spread.
