GOOD NEWS | In its continued mission to provide quality education and service, the Isabela State University (ISU) is eligible for the grant of the FY 2023 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) by obtaining 70 points under the PBB Criteria and Conditions as provided in Section 4.0 of the AO25 Inter-Agency Task Force Memorandum Circular No. 2023-1.
Under the government’s Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) system, agencies are assessed using various performance indicators and assigned corresponding scores, which dictate the bonus amount allocated to eligible employees. The PBB is designed to foster excellence, efficiency, and accountability within government organizations, while also motivating employees to pursue continuous improvement.
Eligible personnel of ISU are entitled to 45.5% of their monthly basic salary. To be eligible for the FY 2023 PBB, ISU employees must achieve a performance rating of at least “Very Satisfactory” under the agency’s Strategic Performance Management System, as approved by the Civil Service Commission, and the Career Executive Service Performance Evaluation System, as mandated by the Career Executive Service Board.
In the evaluation, ISU showed exceptional performance across categories, demonstrating its efforts to deliver efficient public service. In terms of Performance Results, ISU earned 20 points by meeting 92.86% of the Congress-approved performance targets. For Process Results, the University was awarded 15 points for achieving substantial improvements in external services.
ISU also demonstrated commendable financial management, receiving 20 points for attaining an average of 78% in Disbursements and Earmarked Income Budget Utilization Rate (BUR). Additionally, the University maintained high client satisfaction, as evidenced by the absence of any complaints recorded through the Contact Center ng Bayan (CCB).
This achievement within the ISU community underscores the University’s role as a model for other institutions, showcasing the importance of accountability and the delivery of effective services.
Atty. Leonido J. Pulido III (Assistant Secretary, DBM) thanked the ISU management and staff for its continued support and participation in the PBB implementation.
