Isabela State University (ISU) marked another milestone in its commitment to academic excellence and community service with the inauguration of two (2) new academic infrastructures through a ribbon-cutting ceremony and unveiling of commemorative markers on March 25, 2025.

The infrastructures include the New Academic Building for ISU Echague – Santiago Extension Campus and the New ISU Jones Administration Building and Multi-Purpose Hall.

The newly inaugurated facilities aim to enhance the learning environment and provide resources for students, faculty, and staff, strengthening ISU’s mission to deliver quality education and research opportunities.

The event was graced by University officials, faculty members, students, line agency representatives, and local government representatives including Hon. Joseph S. Tan (Representative, 4th District of Isabela) and Hon. Alyssa Sheena P. Tan (City Mayor, Santiago City).

For the Santiago Extension Campus, sitting in a 2-hectare land donated by the Congressional District and City Government of Santiago City is a 5-storey academic building with 16 classrooms which will house four (4) academic programs. Also located in the said campus is the Research, Innovation, Sustainability, and Empowerment (RISE) Center which received an initial funding of 1 million pesos from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

In addition to these facilities, an H100 vehicle was also turned over to the said extension campus along with the eKABSAT (Knowledge-Based Smart Transportation), courtesy of DOST.

On the other hand, the newly inaugurated Administration Building and JST Hall will support the ISU Jones Campus’ services and provide a space for both academic and community activities. To complete the construction of the said facilities, the campus also received funding from Congressman Tan.
