Isabela State University (ISU) hosted and catered delegates from the Quirino State University (QSU) on August 15, 2024 in its Echague Campus for a benchmarking activity on the various offices and services of the University.

The QSU delegation was headed by Dr. Florigold V. Saldaen (Vice President, Administration and Finance Services) and was accompanied by some of its university and campus officials and staff.

Part of the benchmarking activity was to share best practices and information among the two (2) universities including processes involving the: Planning Office, Human Resource Management Office, Management Information Services, Infrastructure Office, and Internal Audit Services.

“We receive invitations relative to benchmarking. That is why I’ve been telling every time when we have a visitor that Isabela State University is becoming the center of benchmarking in the Province of Isabela, in the region too,” shared Dr. Jose P. Gallena, Jr. (Executive Officer, ISU Echague) when welcoming the QSU delegation.

Following the presentation of ISU as an institution, the process of the breakout sessions for the benchmarking proper was explained by Dr. Jay P. Chy (Vice President, Planning and Development), who ably represented Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino (University President), while also introducing other staff members of the University.

“And I believe my colleagues are ready to internalize whatever little things that they could see and we could adapt it in our university. Thank you so much for accepting us,” Dr. Saldaen expressed during the opening program before the benchmarking proper.
