Isabela State University (ISU) had its two-day workshop for the 2025 Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting and Times Higher Education Impact Ranking on August 28-30, 2024 at Dipaculao, Aurora.
The said workshop was spearheaded by the Gender Resource Research and Development Center and was attended by University and campus officials, GAD Focal Point System (GFPS) members, and planning, human resource, and budget officers.
In response to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), the workshop focused on practical tools and strategies for gender-responsive planning and budgeting while equipping the participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate gender perspectives for success in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
Activities in the workshop include expert lectures and presentations, group discussions and workshops, and sharing of case studies and best practices to provide practical foundations, facilitate knowledge sharing, and showcase successful examples respectively.
After the workshop, participants should be able to draft and finalize the 2025 GAD Plan and Budget for the University which details action plans for implementing gender mainstreaming initiatives and identifying data sources and collection methods for measuring ISU’s impact on the SDGs.
