Isabela State University (ISU), through its management and executive leadership, currently conducts its Year-End Review, to present the University’s accomplishments over the past year and set a strategic trajectory for the coming year. The activity aims to serve as a platform to reflect on institutional progress and align priorities as part of the University’s commitment to excellence in public service.
A key highlight of the activity is the presentation of the FY 2025 Accomplishment Report through Dr. Boyet L. Batang (University President). The accomplishments presented underscored the University’s unwavering commitment to quality education, responsive research, meaningful community engagement, and good governance. These milestones were achieved through the collective efforts of the entire ISU community, reflecting a shared dedication to public service and institutional excellence.
To look back, ISU posted a strong performance across its core functions in FY 2025, marked by significant gains in academics, research, community engagement, and internationalization. The University secured ten new Certificates of Program Compliance, produced licensure examination topnotchers, ranked among the nation’s top-performing schools in several licensure examinations, and achieved 100% passing rates for first-time takers in the Philippine Nurses and Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers Licensure Examinations.
Research and innovation also reached new progress with the launch of the RISE Center, the CVAARRD Consortium’s induction into the Ugnay Award Hall of Fame, globally indexed ISU LINKER Journals, and over ₱80 million in external research funding. ISU also strengthened community impact through major healthcare, tourism, and digital transformation initiatives, while expanding its global footprint through more than 20 partnerships, the proposed establishment of the Kyoto University–DPRI ASEAN Satellite Hub, and national and international recognitions, including a Top 2 ranking in the Philippines in the 2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
Complementing the Year-End Review, the University also formally launched its Strategic Development Plan (SDP) 2026–2030, presented by Dr. Isagani P. Angeles, Jr. (Vice President for Planning and Development).
The plan outlines a unified roadmap that will guide ISU toward its vision of becoming a model Smart-Green University with a global reputation for positive societal transformation. Anchored on the University’s BRIGHT Core Values—Brilliance, Resilience, Integrity, Generosity, Humility, and Teamwork—and driven by its SMARTEST Goals, the SDP commits ISU to strengthen instruction and internationalization, advance research and innovation, expand extension services, and transform governance systems across all campuses.
Overall, through this activity, the University hopes to move forward and continue its mission as a University for People, Nature, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation to transform society in the future and today.
