In its continuing pursuit of academic and institutional excellence, Isabela State University (ISU) conducts the General Orientation and Workshop on Institutional Accreditation from May 27–28, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall of ISU Echague.

The two-day activity gathers University officials, administrators, faculty members, and key personnel from various campuses and offices to strengthen the University’s preparations for Institutional Accreditation (IA) under the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
Institutional Accreditation is regarded as the highest quality assurance certification awarded to State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the country. Unlike program accreditation, IA evaluates institutions as a whole across nine core areas: Governance and Management; Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation; Faculty and Staff; Research; Extension, Consultancy, and Linkages; Support to Students; Library; Infrastructure and Other Learning Resources; and Quality Assurance Culture. Through this process, the University ensures that all aspects of its operations meet and exceed national standards for academic and operational excellence.

To guide the University, ISU invites resource speakers and experts from the AACCUP, namely Dr. Milabel Enriquez-Ho (Executive Director, AACCUP) and Mr. Dominic T. Martinez (IT Officer, AACCUP).
The orientation and workshop feature sessions focused on the preparation and management of accreditation requirements. Among the topics to be discussed include the preparation of the Institutional Accreditation Survey, the IA Portfolio as a guide in preparing documents for accreditation, and the uploading, digitization, and presentation of institutional accreditation materials.

Alongside the lecture sessions, participants engage in workshops across the nine accreditation areas for the preliminary preparation and consolidation of documentary requirements. Workshop outputs will be also presented, synthesized, and critiqued to further improve the University’s readiness for the accreditation process.
