Isabela State University (ISU) and the Commission on Higher Education Region 02 (CHED R02) conducted an Orientation and Workshop on Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) Documentation and Preparation on February 4, 2025 at the Climate Change Center, ISU Echague.

Spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs headed by Dr. Boyet L. Batang (Vice President, Academic Affairs), officials and specialists from CHED R02 graced the University and served as resource persons for the said event.

For more information, the COPC is a recognition given by the CHED which certifies that the specific degree programs being offered by State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) are fully compliant with the policies, standards and guidelines set by the Commission.

During the event, Dr. Julieta M. Paras (CHED R02 Regional Director) presented the purpose of the event with Dr. Almacita P. Abrigo (CHED R02 Chief Education Supervisor) giving the orientation on preparing documents for COPC application based on instruments. In addition, accomplishments and rooms for improvement of the University in relation to COPC were also discussed for further maintenance and development.

The workshop proper was facilitated by CHED R02 Education Specialists following the presentation of outputs by University participants coming from its different campuses.
