The College of Computing Studies, Information and Communication Technology (CCSICT) of Isabela State University (ISU) Echague Campus invited its partner agencies and institutions for a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing on March 5, 2025 at the Alba Hall. 

The said event is related to the formalization of collaborations for the College’s extension projects with Northeastern College, Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades (SICAT), and Echague National High School (ENHS).

In her message, Dr. Christine Charmaine G. San Jose (Dean, CCSICT) expressed that the CCSICT is willing to extend to its linkage partners through the conduct of capability seminars and training on extension engagement, emerging technologies, and of course, transfer of technology.

“Today marks another milestone for the CCSICT for we are about to witness the conduct of our MOA signing with our academic and industry partners…we are grateful and this greatly benefit both institutions to achieve our vision, mission, goals and objectives,” Dr. San Jose added.

The following extension programs included in the MOA signing include:

    • Enabling SICAT Faculty Extensionist Towards Engagement in Extension Projects: Conceptualizing, Writing, and Packaging
    • Tech-Smart Teachers: Harnessing the Networking Potential of Tech-Newbie Teachers through the Implementation of a School Network Setup
    • Empowering Northeastern College Community Extension Workers for Active Engagement in Extension Project Development (Phase II): Writing and Packaging of Completed Reports, Presentation, Policies, and Guidelines

The above-mentioned programs are in line with the extension thrusts of the University capsuled into four (4) umbrella programs: adopt-a-barangay volunteerism program, local government units extension capability strengthening program, gender and development, and community and outreach support services as discussed by Dr. Darios B. Alado (Extension Coordinator, CCSICT).

Representing Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino (University President), Atty. Romano P. Cammayo (Vice President, Administrative and Finance Services), said that through the newly-formed partnerships, the University can build a more responsive and forward thinking academic environment that nurtures innovation and lifelong learning. 

“With ISU’s dedication to excellence and collaboration, we are confident that these agreements will serve as a beacon of progress setting a new benchmark for transformative educational partnerships,” Atty. Cammayo hoped.
