ISU, BulSU signs MOU for Development of Collaborative Activities
Isabela State University (ISU) and Bulacan State University (BulSU) both signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 20 during the University Academic Summit (UAS) to formalize the academic and educational cooperation and promote mutual understanding between the two (2) higher educational institutions.
The signing ceremony was headed by Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino (University President of ISU) and Dr. Teody C. Andres (University President of BulSU) as recognition of the importance of cooperative efforts in the attainment of both University’s vision, mission, goals, and objectives for their respective stakeholders.
With the signed MOA, both Universities agree to develop the following collaborative activities in the academic areas of interest, on a basis of equality and reciprocity such as: exchange of faculty and researchers, exchange of students, conduct of lectures, symposia, capacity-building programs, and exchange of academic information and materials.
Moreover, both parties agreed to be open to collaborate and explore possible partnerships in the areas of research and extension, and support in the continued quest for higher levels of accreditation in various agencies for the attainment of quality excellence in higher education.
In a statement, the host of the event stressed that the ceremonial signing highlights commitment on the values of collaboration, innovation, and progress. He further urged the audience to remember the potential and promise of the partnership with hopes that it can be fruitful, enduring, and beneficial to both universities.
