Isabela State University (ISU) garnered awards during the recently held State Universities and Colleges (SUC) Fair 2024 last July 9-11, 2024 at the KCC Mall De Zamboanga hosted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Western Mindanao State University.

 

The SUC Fair is an annual initiative by CHED aimed at exploring strategies for thriving internationally through innovation, cultural and artistic preservation, and excellence in higher education.

 

With the theme, “Weaving Culture and Innovations for a Transformative, Resilient, and Globally-Recognized Philippine Higher Education”, the three-day event opened various contested activities that allowed participating SUCs to showcase their identities and regions.

 

With ISU representing Region 2, the University was able to take home the following achievements:

 

Champion – Musical Anthems of SUCs: Regional Music Video Competition (CHED Hymn) [Represented by: Maria Ferrida Berganio, Daryll Lorenzo, Darwin Manuzon, Marc Robert Tretasco, and Ramuel Melad]

Second Place – Musical Anthems of SUCs: Regional Music Video Competition (Pambansang Awit) [Represented by: Maria Ferrida Berganio, Daryll Lorenzo, Darwin Manuzon, Marc Robert Tretasco, and Ramuel Melad]

 

Third Runner Up – Ms. SUC Fair 2024 [Represented by: Jarina Sandhu]

 

These awards are a testament to the collective effort, passion, and perseverance of our students, faculty, and staff. This emphasizes the standards of excellence that ISU upholds and we extend our deepest appreciation to everyone involved.
