In pursuit of lifelong learning: ISU opens 2nd University Academic Summit
The Isabela State University (ISU) formally opens its two-day 2nd University Academic Summit on February 20, 2024 at the ISU Cauayan Campus. The event was attended by the University and campus officials, heads of offices, college deans, and program chairs in their continuing commitment to further learning and strengthen their service for the University.
According to Dr. Marinel P. Dayawon (University Director for Instruction), the academic summit aims to delve into the current trajectory of education, encourage the attendees to explore emerging innovations in instructional materials to enhance educational effectiveness, champion educational excellence in proactively addressing challenges encountered within the teaching and learning journey, and be equipped with insights and resources necessary to adept and navigate the evolving educational landscape, fostering adaptability and innovation.
For this year’s summit, keynote speakers from Bulacan State University (BulSU) were invited to share their insights and relevant knowledge on education in the persons of Dr. Teody C. San Andres (University President of BulSU) and Assoc. Prof. Marlon B. Santos (Faculty of BulSU).
In his opening message, Dr. Boyet L. Batang (University Vice President for Academic Affairs) affirmed that the said summit is a testament to the enduring power of academic pursuit of ISU as it is a celebration of the University’s relentless thirst for knowledge and a reaffirmation of commitment to progress.
“The knowledge we cultivate here has the power to transform us, and let us leave this summit equipped to tackle academic challenge and build a brighter and more informed future,” Dr. Batang said.
To support the academic summit, Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino (University President), emphasized that each attendee brings unique insights and experiences and perspectives to the table which ensures that the academic summit becomes a platform for meaningful connections, transformative ideas, and tangible outcomes that will truly benefit the University.
