The training on the Improvement of Work Environment and Self-Management Skills through Work Attitude and Values Enhancement (WAVE) was slated on August 2 and 3, 2018 at the University Amphitheater.

The said training was participated by the faculty members of Isabela State University – Echague Campus through the initiative of the ISU – E Faculty Association (ISUEFA).

One of the objectives of the training, as mentioned by Dr. Florenda B. Temanel, President of ISUEFA, is to strengthen personal management skills of faculty members that will contribute to the development of positive work environment.

Dr. William R. Eustaquio, Executive Officer of ISU-Echague, urged the faculty members to be productive as the start of the classes is approaching. “Let us be productive in our endeavors and engage ourselves with the opportunities which may be of point of improvement,” he said.

On the other hand, Atty. Romano P. Cammayo, Vice President for Administration and Finance Services, mentioned in his message that a very good environment starts from the selection process of faculty members in the University. Atty. Cammayo also emphasized the importance of linking of personal values and the core values of the University. “When our personal values are aligned with the core values of the University, we cannot go wrong, we can understand one another,” Atty. Cammayo said.

Before the training proper started, Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino, University President, commended the people behind the organization of the very timely and relevant training for the faculty members. Dr. Aquino also stressed that being happy can contribute to the attainment of the goals and objectives. One good news mentioned by Dr. Aquino before the faculty members were the provision of the Performance-based Bonus (PBB) in September, and the approval of the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) this year. Dr. Aquino, before ending his message, said that the University is expecting more development in 2019 considering the great accomplishment of the University for the past few years.

Although technical problem in the sound system occurred at the gymnasium, lectures and trainings were successfully held at the Biazon Hostel.
