Today, Isabela State University (ISU) San Mateo Campus and the Local Government Unit of San Mateo (LGU San Mateo) formally sealed a partnership through the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) aimed to strengthen agricultural education, training, and community development initiatives.

The agreement supports the implementation of the Diploma in Agricultural Technology–Bachelor of Agricultural Technology (DAT-BAT) and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) programs of ISU San Mateo. Under the partnership, the LGU will allow the utilization of its agricultural facilities and land for training, research, and extension activities that will enhance the practical learning experiences of students.

Additionally, the LGU will support the University’s On-the-Job Training (OJT) program for student-trainees from the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Agricultural Technology programs.
Part of the agreement includes the use of the LGU-owned techno-demonstration farm, particularly the Goat Multiplier and other agricultural facilities, to serve as venues for experiential learning, technology demonstration, and research activities.

Representing the University during the ceremonial signing were Dr. Boyet L. Batang (University President), Dr. Precila C. Delima (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Hilda A. Manzolim (Vice President for Administrative and Finance Services), Dr. Isagani P. Angeles, Jr. (Vice President for Planning and Development), Dr. Orlando F.
