On March 26, Isabela State University (ISU) formalized partnerships with eight academic and government institutions through a ceremonial signing of Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) during the 1st International Conference on Sustainable Development in Education, Technology, Agriculture, and Gender and Development (ICSDETAGAD) held from March 26–27, 2026, at the ISU Echague Campus.
The agreements were signed with Bulacan State University, Marikina Polytechnic College, Mountain Province State University, University of Perpetual Help System – Isabela, Jose Rizal Memorial State University, Universitas Negeri Padang, Department of Agriculture Region 02, and Saint Louis University.

The partnerships aim to strengthen institutional linkages and collaborative initiatives that promote sustainable development across education, technology, agriculture, and gender and development.

Under the agreement, the participating institutions will engage in various areas of cooperation, including the sharing of resources and expertise, where faculty members and researchers may exchange specialized knowledge, skills, and academic resources to enhance teaching, learning, and innovation. The partners also committed to academic collaboration, which includes the joint organization of conferences, seminars, and other professional development activities that contribute to the advancement of institutional and individual competencies.

The collaboration further covers research and extension initiatives to enable the sharing of technical expertise and research outputs that support academic programs, community engagement, and innovation-driven activities among the partner institutions.

In implementing these initiatives, the parties agreed to maintain open communication to ensure the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of joint programs. They also committed to working collaboratively in developing mutually beneficial academic and research undertakings while upholding ethical practices, institutional policies, and applicable laws in all activities pursued under the agreement.

For selected partner organizations, the agreement also outlines provisions for expanded collaboration in joint academic activities, research engagements, and professional development programs, subject to the availability of resources. The memorandum likewise provides for the joint ownership of intellectual property arising from collaborative projects and activities undertaken by the partner institutions.

Through these partnerships, ISU continues to expand its network of academic and institutional collaborators as part of its mission to advance research, innovation, and knowledge exchange in support of sustainable development and inclusive growth.
