Isabela State University (ISU), 202nd Community Defense Center (202CDC) under the 2nd Regional Community Defense Group (2RCDG), and the Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades (TESDA SICAT) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the extension project, “Tactical Assignment and Reservist Geo-Tracking System (TARGET)” on February 12, 2025 at the ISU San Mateo Mini Theater.
The said project aims to modernize reservist management and is expected to fill-in the gaps and constraints imposed by the challenges of reserve force handling. It also aims to assist decision-makers in optimizing the deployment and utilization of the reserve force in the Province of Isabela.
TARGET is designed to enhance the tracking, profiling, and monitoring of army reservists. Developed through an integrated approach, the said system will function as an online Management Information System (MIS) that provides real-time data on reservists in both stand-by and ready reserve status.
“The tracking system is an upgrade that is hoped to revolutionize reservists management and performance. It is also backed-up with data analytics that will aid decision makers regarding the reserve force,” shared by Dr. Ricmar Aquino (University President).
This signing of the MOA between the involved institutions is hoped to be a start to more collaborative projects in the future.
