Febvoah R. Joaquin, a student of Isabela State University (ISU), was awarded as the regional champion during the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Regional Championship last November 15, 2024 at the Conference Room of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region 02.

The participants for the regional elimination competed to test their statistical knowledge and problem-solving skills with the winners awarded with medals and cash prizes. Additionally, the University was also presented with a plaque of recognition for its support in fostering academic excellence in the field of statistics.

Being the regional champion, Joaquin will represent the Cagayan Valley Region in the PSQ National Finals on December 5, 2024 at the PSA Headquarters, Quezon City. She will be accompanied by her coach, Erwin G. Corpuz, a faculty member at the ISU Echague Campus.

According to PSA Region 02, the PSQ remains a key platform for promoting statistical literacy among students in the Philippines, encouraging them to pursue careers in statistics, economics, and related fields.
