The Isabela State University’s (ISU) College of Medicine and Allied Health Professions (COM & AHP) marked a milestone as it celebrated its 1st Founding Anniversary from September 11 to 13, 2024. The momentous event featured a series of activities designed to highlight the continuous growth of the said institution.

The celebration kicked off with a Fun Run and a Eucharistic Celebration where guests, including University and campus officials, faculty members, and students gathered. The ceremony also included the ribbon cutting and blessing of the COM & AHP New Laboratory Building which will serve as a new learning space for current and future students of the University.

Following the opening activities, the first day also had a fellowship, acquaintance, and stethoscope ceremony for the COM & AHP students. The said activities are an important event for the University’s medical students as it stresses the importance of compassionate care for patients, professionalism, and scientific proficiency.

With its three-day set of activities, September 12 focused on activities engaging with the community. Following the adopt a tree event in the morning, a health outreach program took place as an avenue for giving back, with COM & AHP students and faculty offering free health services for the ISU community.

The third and final day, September 13, culminated in a Thanksgiving Mass and Closing Ceremony which wrapped up the three-day celebration contributing to the college’s success and development.

The 1st Founding Anniversary celebration of the COM & AHP reflected the University’s commitment to academic excellence, community service, and the holistic development of its students. As the college celebrated its first year, it continues to build a legacy of quality education and service to society, setting the foundation for many more anniversaries to come.
