SMOKING PROHIBITION BASED ON 100% SMOKE FREE-ENVIRONMENT POLICY
The Isabela State University (ISU) reiterates Memorandum Circular no. 17, 2009 of the Civil Service Commission on adoption and promulgation of the 100% Smoke Free Policy and the Smoking Prohibition in all areas of government premises, buildings, and grounds in order to ensure a healthy and productive workforce as reinforced by Executive Order No. 25.
Executive Order No. 28 from the Office of the President has the purpose of “Providing for the Establishment of Smoke-Free Environments in Public and Enclosed Places”.
GUIDELINES
- All university personnel are hereby enjoined to ensure that all students, faculty, and staff are aware of this Memorandum Circular and Executive Order and to strictly prohibit smoking within the premises of your respective areas of jurisdiction.
- All campus heads, office heads and college deans are hereby directed to assign responsible person to:
- Ensure the implementation and compliance with this policy;
- Establish procedures for reporting and dealing with violation; and
- Monitor and report on rates of compliance and effectiveness of the policy.
- “No Smoking” signages should be posted in conspicuous places within the premises of your areas of jurisdiction.
