The investiture ceremony began with a procession of the ceremonial bearers, Administrative Council, ISU Board of Regents, CHED Director and Commissioner, SUC Presidents, guests, President's Family and the University President.

Speaking during the ceremony included Echague Mayor Melinda Kiat and Dr. William C. Medrano, ISU's Vice President for RDET, who gave their welcome messages. Dr. Olympio V. Caparas, Vice President of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) and President, Technological State University (TUP) presented the President while Dr. Evelyn Pascua, CHED Region 02 Director represented CHED Commissioner Nona Ricafort, for the Reading of Appointment and Vesting of Academic Gown and Hood.

Prior to the investiture address, Dr. Evelyn L. Pascua presented the academic medallion and ring, which symbolically represents Dr. Mamauag's investment with the power and responsibility of the presidency. The University Mace was presented to the President by the three Vice Presidents of the University. Dr. Pascua then administered the oath of office to the President.

A reception at the ISU Administration Building followed the ceremony.

Dr. Mamauag took over the Presidency from the previous administration of Dr. Romeo Quilang, who served ISU for eight years.

Meanwhile, a fellowship night was held on July 29 showcasing well-loved classic and modern songs and dances presented by select socio-cultural groups composed of students from the different ISU campuses.
