Goals:
- Provide outstanding instruction and professional assistance to the students in the institute and opportunities to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management;
- Prepare the students for graduate study and assist students towards professionalism and an attitude of continued professional growth and individual development, likewise assist students in recognizing their responsibilities as members of society and the hospitality industry.
- Provide seminars and workshops for the hospitality industry of the institute of Hospitality Management.
- Increase the quality and accessibility of hospitality education to the Institute of Hospitality Management.
- Develop globally competitive individuals in the field of hospitality industry fully equipped with technological skills and experience and technical training necessary in undertaking actual business ventures.
Objectives:
- Possess theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Hospitality Management.
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skills in the operation and management of hotel and restaurant according to prescribed standards of the industry.
- Perform tasks, functions, duties and activities in the operation of hotel and restaurant in accordance with the competency standards.
- Use variety of technologies in accordance with the industry standards to be locally and globally competitive.
- Conduct research activities in the field of Hospitality Management.
- Exhibit proficiency in oral and written communication skills especially in dealing with guests, peers and the public in general.
- Adhere to professional and personal code of ethics.
- Practice desirable Filipino values and sense of responsibility.
