The BSF program is committed to provide competent fisheries professionals who can contribute better to sustainable and responsible fisheries and total approach to freshwater and marine coastal environment and would be flexible in tackling job opportunities in both private and government sectors.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF THE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN FISHERIES (PROGRAM GOALS and OBJECTIVES)
Program Goals:
- Globally competitive graduates in the areas of sustainable aquaculture, capture fisheries, post-harvest and aquatic resources and ecology
- Fisheries professionals imbued with high level of integrity, nationalism, and ethical standards
- Leaders in their profession and respective communities and
- Professionals with knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes in fisheries research, resource management, instruction, extension, production and marketing.
Specific Objectives:
- Develop, operate and manage aquaculture production systems
- Explore and utilize wisely fisheries resources using appropriate and innovative fishing methods
- Apply post-harvest practices that are compliant to international standards for food safety and quality
- Exhibit global competitiveness in terms of academics, research and technology generation, community service and resource maximization.
