Various training activities have been conducted by ISU Extension Services to reach out to target clientele and communities. To date, a total of 2,186 beneficiaries, ranging from out-of-school-youths to ALS teachers, and from women to LGUs, have been served in several skills training, seminars as well as gender and development activities.

Using tried and tested platforms such as “Project BEN”, “Teach Every Agta Child”, among others the following were accomplished  for the first half of 2014 in different venues by the different ISU campuses:

1. Livelihood skills training conducted were on:

  • Pastillas, Siomai Making
  • Welding
  • Electrical Installations/Maintenance
  • Milk Handling and Processing
  • Computer Hardware Repair and Servicing
  • Food Beverage Service and Bartending
  • Commercial Cooking
  • Massage Therapy
  • Appliance Repair   

2. Capability Building conducted:

  • Budgeting
  • Teaching Basic Reading
  • Reading sessions among children
  • Personality Development

3. Consultancy and Technical Expertise Provided:

  • Resource Speaker for Local Governance and Administrative Reform
  • Internal Control and Internal Auditing

4. Gender and Development activities:

  • Launching of the GAD radio program

5. Outreach Activities:

  • Medical Mission
