Isabela State University conducted the Public Forum for ISU Presidency at the Amphitheater ISU Echague, Isabela last March 1, 2017. The said event was a proper venue to be acquainted with the future president of the University. It was attended by University Officials and faculty members from the different campuses of the University, public officials, stakeholders, and students.
The aspiring candidates for the ISU Presidency were Dr. Ambrose Hans G. Aggabao, Dean, College of Teacher Education ISU Cabagan; Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino, Vice-President for Administration and Finance Services, ISU; Dr. Rufino B. Calpatura, Executive Officer, ISU Echague; Dr. William R. Eustaquio, University Director, Office of Student Affairs and Services, ISU; Dr. Edwin F. Macaballug, President, Batanes State College; Dr. William C. Medrano, VP for Research and Development, Extension and Training, ISU; Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon, President, Ifugao State University; and Dr. Juanito P. Rosini, former VP for Administrative and Finance Services and Professor IV, ISU Echague.
The applicants will be assessed based on their qualifications by the search committee headed by Dr. Emerlinda R. Roman, former President Emeritus of University of the Philippines. Other members of the search committee were Dr. Samuel O. Benigno, President of Quirino State University; Dr. Honorato R. Alzate, OIC, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region 02; Atty. Gemma Galang-Bautista, Member and Corporate Secretary, NC Board of Directors; and Dr. Joel M. Alcaraz, President of Isabela State University Echague Faculty Association (ISUEFA).
According to Dr. Roman, they will be submitting the short list to the ISU Board of Regents in weeks’ time.
