      The Isabela State University will be participating to the 18 days Campaign to end Violence Against Women. This is in pursuance to the Republic Act No 10398 declaring November 25 of every year as the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC).
      In line with the implementation of Republic Act No 10398, Isabela State University is actively participating in the various 18-Day Campaign to End VAW activities as well as to initiate activities for synchronized efforts in line with reinforcing the theme, “End VAW Now. It’s our Duty!”. For this purpose the major activity that ISU will conduct on November 25, 2014 is;
    To participate in the kick-off activity that begins with a “FUN RUN’/FUN WALK”, 2014 Walk to End VAW” on November 25, 7:00 am at Isabela State University, Main Campus.
      The said activity is designed to raise public awareness on the problem of violence against women and children. The Fun Walk 2014 will start at the ISU Administration Building, Main Campus to the town proper and back to ISU. The Fun Walk 2014 will be headed by the University President, Dr. Aleth M. Mamauag and Dr. Pedrita N. Medrano, the ISU GAD Focal Person and Extension Director together with Echague Faculty, Staff and Students.

      The other activities are the following:
    Hang streamer in front of the University announcing our participation in the Campaign;
    Conduct a Forum to discuss violence against women and girls, developing safe school and public spaces and child protection policy in their class right after the “Fun Walk 2014”;
    Disseminate information about the various forms of VAW, its case and the responsibilities of laypersons about VAW;
    Conduct a forum discussing issues of VAW, street and public places harassment;
    December 12, 2014 to be attended by ISU Faculty and Staff as well as the Student Leaders.
